It can be. Other times it isn't bad at all.

It really depends on how it's handled by the USPS.

It is my understanding that there has been some rough weather in some states.

That could be the reason.

My experience is whenever the USPS gets involved, regardless of originating with FedEx or UPS, something is bound to get screwed-up. Tracking never works for me once it leaves FedEx or UPS.

Actually it is Fed-Ex and UPS that slows down the stuff that USPS delivers for them. Many things I've ordered would have gotten to me quicker had the vendor used USPS all the way. Waiting on some mags right now from Tennessee to Northeast Louisiana. Left TN on Monday, was in Bossier City, LA Tuesday morning and Hutchins, TX Tuesday afternoon. In Dallas at  FedEx Smartpost facility right now. When they fill up the pallet and generate a barcode label for the pallet the tracking will indicate it was transferred to USPS. Not so. Their truck or their contractor will drop it off at the local P.O. probably Friday afternoon and it will be delivered Saturday.

This has been my experience also. One time had a package delivered in record time....... to USPS. Took 2 days including the order day, to reach local P.O.  (Which is also the hub). From there, waited another 7 days to receive package[emoji17]

For me when the package is delivered to USPS, FedEx tracking shows it as "delivered".

Our post office has been delivering our mail 2 blocks away to a house with the same number, but different street name.  In turn we get those folks' mail, so my wife and the lady of the other house made a pact to deliver each other's mail.  Sheesh.

It's not that bad from what I've seen. But you always hear horror stories here and there.

Nothing yet. Cz says the tracking number is dead since they had a system crash. They say it shipped out on the 7th so they think it should be showing up any day now.

This is it exactly. I'm not sure how vendors get sucked into this shared shipping thing. It may work OK in the city, but not out where I live.

10 days still nothing. Sucks that cz offers such a good leo discount cause now I want to get a 9mm threaded p07 barrel to go in my .40 slide and have the slide milled for a trijicon rmr with a comp. Then I would have a standard 9mm upper and a open class optic upper.

Both Fedex and UPS suck when they partner with the post office. One of their best tricks is to print a label and assign a tracking number so that the item shows as "shipped" whether it has actually left their facility or not. Then they wait until they have a truck load before the item moves again. I've had parts sit within two hours of my house for four days on some orders.

It gets really frustrating when Brownell's advertises that items should reach me in four to seven business days and it is never less than ten business days unless I pay the upgrade for two day shipping. Kind of defeats the purpose of paying them $50 a year to be part of their "Edge" program which is supposed to be a better program.
