Emptying a CZ712 Practical
« on: March 15, 2018, 11:25:58 AM »
I have a CZ 712 Practical that I'm familiarizing myself with in preparation for 3 Gun.  Something I find odd, and I'm wondering if this is intentional or by design, is that if I have rounds in the tube magazine, I cannot just cycle them all out.  The shotgun will only load another round if I've pulled the trigger.  So, in order to empty the magazine, I have to eject the round in the chamber, pull the trigger, cycle the action to load the next round, then cycle it again to eject it.  And repeat this until the magazine is empty.

Is this gun functioning properly, in that it won't load another round if I don't first pull the trigger?

Is there a different, quicker way to empty the magazine, short of just shooting all the rounds?

I don't have a CZ semi auto but have had many brands and most work the same. Push the release button and put your thumb in to push the bottom plate in. On some pushing the release button at this point will empty the gun completely in one stream of shells. On others push the inside clip that actually holds the shells in place and they will come out either also in a stream or single by pushing that clip for each round. Real PITA doing it the way you descibed.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

Thanks Larry.  It does, indeed, work as you described.
