10X in a TS
« on: March 17, 2018, 06:52:52 AM »
Has anyone had to fit a 10X after it?s been installed in the slide?

I finically got around to replacing the Dremel-fit bushing in my TS with a 10X today.

Getting the old bushing out and the new bushing in was uneventful.

I reassembled the gun and the barrel went in ok. But I could rack the slide. Disassembled it but couldn?t get the barrel or by hand. Hand to drive it out from the ejection port with a brass punch.

I gather the ID of the bushing needs some fitting. Has anybody else had to do this?

Problem solved

I used a bit of loctite around the outside of the bushing.

Some had leaked out and built up in the groove in the slide at the back of the bushing.

Once I cleaned that up the barrel went in/out as it should.

I expect you want to see groups improve?  Once you shoot it could you let us know how it does?

I've been wondering about ordering one for my TS .40 S&W but not sure, at this time, if I'd see improvement due to the bushing (biggest problem now is most likely me.)
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I would like to second the 10X bushing report. I have a CZ75 B Omega that I'm thinking about putting a 10X bushing in. Regards, Jerry

I only shot one group after putting it in. I?m selling the gun so just wanted to function test it.

This is 5 shots at 20 odd metres. .357 Sig pushing a 158gn Xtreme at roughly 180PF. Shot freestyle. Not slow but not fast.

Didn?t bother with a before shot. This was my backup gun but it had a dremel fit bushing after I lost the original. It was accurate enough to hit brown but I wanted to put the 10X in for the new owner.
