If it has the aluminum alloy frame it is essentially the P-01.  The P-01 is a North American designation in order to differentiate it from the other CZ 75 compacts. Outside North America the P-01 is just known as the 75D compact with rail.  From time to time CZ UB will ship such pistols to the US to meet the demand and orders.

Guess I should have known that.  :P

They want $410 for it used for nothing but the gun and 0ne mage.  Think I'll pass.

Wanting a used one so that I could practice working on smoothing it out, cajun stuff, etc.

Curious why you would pass that up, I think that's a good price.

I'm a fence sitter  :P

It's listed on CentruryArms. The only dealer in my state wants that + shipping plus tax.

For $500 I can get an NOS 75D Compact - (PCR) (might be only 10 round mags) Which I'm leaning towards because it will be factory warranted.

For $650 I can get a 'like new' Rami BD with a couple of user installed CGW parts. The FTF's on this board have me hesitating.

For $400 I can get a NEW - from a not so local LGS - Canik 55TP9 (short barrel - one grove on the rail) but I'm concerned about parts.

I won't be concealed carrying but would have it in my car, etc.

Any and all therapy welcome.

Generally speaking, I?ve found all metal compacts more difficult to find period, much less a gently used gun at what looks to be a pretty decent price. I certainly don?t pretend to know anything else about it other than what you?ve described, maybe it?s a beater... or maybe it hasn?t been fired.

I like accessory rails because it?s dark outside half the time and it?s a super convenient place to hang a light, that?s either the Boy Scout in me or I?ve spent too much time on arfcom.

Not certain that it's all metal. I'll try and find out.

I picked up a 75 compact with rail two years ago.  Steel frame.  It was a special order of 500-600 that fell through and got dumped on the US market.  Mine is #47 by SN.  I don?t imagine anyone is letting one go if they have one.

I will be shocked and amazed if it?s a steel frame. If so, snag it!

The kicker is,  I don?t care for the rail myself.  I?m holding it for trade value.
