I went with the new Vortex Crossfire Red Dot - lifetime warranty and only $129.  It came with a Skeletonized Mount that allowed me the option to place it up high so that the factory iron sights were clearly visible at all times.  So far I'm very happy with it and it works well - http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/crossfire-red-dots-2-moa

I'll post some photos once I figure out how
to do that.

Thanks for all the feedback.
I wish on this Forum there was a way to offer thanks to each individual reply, but I can't see a way to do that.
More decisions to make now!
I'm only planning on using this on an indoor range, and wasn't looking to spend 1/2 the price of the gun on a site.

I'll post some photos in a post below.

Unfortunately, I'm in Canada and the best price I've seen so far for the Vortex Cross Fire will set me back about $200.00 + 15% GST.

Thanks

I too will be buying a RD for my Skorp. I like the looks of the Vortex, but I love the auto on off of the Holosun plus the 50K hrs of battery life. From what I have seen price wise so far, the Holosun is $20 more. The idea of ready to rock when I pick it up has me sold.

Going to look at the Vortex Venom, and Crossfire. I hear the Venom can be co-witnessed

Ahh, the old you tube torture tests.  I?ve seen enough of them fail working for an agency.....perhaps they were all lemons.  Hey, whatever works for you.  There really is no need to defend your purchase to me, as I could care less one way or the other.  Someone asked and I answered.
Sounds like you are the one defending your purchase...

It feels like it's a bit lower than typical 1/3 cowitness but once dialed in it works like a dream.  I love it.

That gray variant is starting to grow on me... And here I just finished my FDE model, it truly never ends.

The Bushnell TRS-25 is a great little optic for the price. I think I have like 7 or 8 now for various projects. They are cheap and hold up well and have a lifetime warranty. If you have an astigmatism (starburst effect), well, no red dots for you.

For what it's worth here are my thoughts and experiences. I'm no operator. No military experience. I was in law enforcement for a bit but during that time certainly did not shoot anyone. I carry a red dot daily. (Trijicon RMR)

I have used Aimpoint as well as Eotech. I switched over to Aimpoint due to battery life and then of course you have heard of Eotech's issues with zero issues.

I also have the Trijicon MRO.

I prefer the Aimpoint T1 or T2.

With that being said, thats almost the cost of the scorpion. I started looking into less costly options.
It appears to me that the Romeo line is just a re-branded Holoson. So I started looking into Holosun and their features are pretty great. Their battery life is akin to Aimpoint.

I found some reviews of people who had torture tested their Holoson's and have surprisingly held up well.

I purchased one that was solar powered and adjustable. When it arrived one of the buttons lacked positive "click" feedback so I returned it and got another. For the price I'm happy with what I have (feature-wise).

Another interesting note:the most perfect circle I've ever owned was actually a $30 Truglo.

I have never used the Votex Sparc, the Leopold red dot or the Primary Arms.
I have (or have used) : Trijicon RMR MRO, Eotech 512 516 XPS, Aimpoint CompM4 Pro T1 T2, Shield RMS, Truglo generic red dot, Holosun HS403C

I have abnormally good vision in most respects. For instance, I can read my employees' computer screens from across the room.  ;D

However, most red dots look a little fuzzy to me. I wonder if I have an astigmatism.

I'm using the Vortex Crossfire RDS on my EVO. I really like it. My only complaint is that I have the dial at 8-10 to see the dot during the day.
