New to CZ, just picked up the SP-01
« on: March 24, 2018, 04:11:14 PM »
Right out of the box I'm impressed with the fit and finish of my SP-01, went through the disassembly process in order to make sure there were no add machining marks ect..
I'm pretty happy with the purchase, made the purchase on 3/20 and 4 days later its in my hands, kudos to Kentucky Gun Co.

Digging though the box I find the factory hit pattern data chart, I looked at the grouping first and then looked over at the stats, roughly 1.4" spread at 82 FT, anyone have theirs to compare, I'm curious what these pistols bench up to out of the box.

Thanks,

These targets are to test the function of the gun.  It's not a test for accuracy.

I would think the paper serves as validation, a proof of accuracy from the fitted firearm that came off the assembly line (QA/QC).

I'm curious to see if some got a better fitted gun off the assembly line than others.

Post your sheet if you have one, maybe it'll end up being a sticky thread.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I hate to be the one to rain on your parade, but you may want to brush up on your metric conversions a bit. There are 25.4 millimeters in each inch and your dispersion is 60.4 mm I think (bad eyesight) - that's over two-inches. That is still a darn good group at 25 meters shooting off a bench rest at the factory.
Most of my CZs came with about a 4-inch dispersion on the factory target, but will shoot better groups than that. My Shadow 1 factory target had a group around 1.4 inches and my SP-01 Compact came with a factory target a little better at around 1.3 inches. I was able to duplicate the Shadow 1 target one time - with almost the same group pattern as the factory target (bench rest of course). I haven't been able to duplicate the SP-01 Compact factory target, but I don't shoot it off the bench that much.
My Shadow 2 factory target was around 3.5 inches, but I have shot a few 1.5 inch groups off a bench rest with it using factory ammo so that says something about the factory target as an accuracy indicator.
On the other hand, I've got an SP-01 that came with a factory target of a little over 4 inches, but I haven't been able to do better than that even after having an accu-bushing installed.
Musashi:
- In all forms of strategy, it is necessary to maintain the combat stance in everyday life and to make your everyday stance your combat stance. (situational awareness).
- You can only fight the way you practice.
- If you do not control the enemy, the enemy will control you.

Rhart, you are absolutley right, that was my mistake about 2.4" of spread. Thank you for your response, that gives me an idea what is to be expected from these platforms, thats a tight group at 25m for the Shadow.

Earlier I was under the impression that these pistols were shot/tested from a cz factory built pistol apparatus.

Guess I was hoping my sp01 would have the same group characteristic as the Shadow just without the fancy sights and precision trigger when shot from a consistent mechanical testing appartus.
