There was a previous post awhile back regarding a similar issue I had with a brand new SP-01 Tactical and 3 new Mec Gar magazines.
Here is the post:
https://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=74902.0The new handgun was cleaned off and relubed prior to any dry firing or range time. Loaded the factory magazine with 3 snap caps, squeezed trigger and manually ejected the snap cap. Worked fined, repeated until the magazine was empty.
MG magazine loaded with snap caps and loaded into handgun. After squeezing off the trigger and manually ejecting the snap cap, the trigger would not go forward to the reset point. Ejected magazine and re-started the same process; still the trigger did not go forward to the reset point. Ejected MG magazine and tried one of the others, same issue. Repeated with factory magazine, no problem.
Locked the slide back and inspected the magazine well from the top looking down--like I knew what I was looking at

Everything looked in place and I thought it was the Mec Gar magazines.
Forward 3 weeks of using only the factory magazines, the trigger did not reset on a couple of rounds during range time. Spent this Saturday field stripping and cleaning the handgun. From the top looking down into the magazine well, I saw that one leg of the trigger bar support spring/trigger bar lifter spring was not under the trigger bar. DING DING DING....maybe that's the issue!
A quick second later to get that one leg of the of the trigger bar support spring under the trigger bar and VOILA, the trigger functioning well using both factory and Mec Gar magazines.
What's the saying, "even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile"

Hope my little tale helps someone else out there
