Starret from Amazon.

If you order punches from CZ Custom, I believe they send you Mayhews.

Mine came from Brownells in the 70's.  They are Mathew's and still look new.

No matter the name-brand one gets, the larger punches will probably last a lifetime for most people (no abuse), but the smaller diameters (e.g. 1/16" or so) will bend or break under heavy use. It may be wise to order individual punches you frequently use (no use for 1/4" punch on a CZ most of the time) and get extras of the small diameter ones. YMMV

Mine are all Mayhews as well. I bought them individually from CZ Custom for CZ work only because I don't work on any other guns now days.

I?m assuming CZs are built with metric tools ? do you find that you need metric punches or are the close inch equivalents workable?

Thanks!

You can substitute some standard for metric punches, but the fit will be a little off. I use metric punches from CZC because I don't want to take a chance on marring my guns. I also use roll pin punches where roll pins are and regular punches for other pins. For Sigs, there are special cupped punches for their pins with rounded ends and they help in not boogering up the pins and also with slippage that may mar finishes.

rhart, thanks, looks like you got (metric) Mayhews from CZ Custom, which sounds like a good way to go...or is there a set of metric Mayhews that covers the needed sizes?

Best,

Commo

Tekton 66564 on Amazon is rebranded Grace. This kit holds up well, but the 1/16 and other small ones will bend eventually. I've had my set since July 2015 and still use all of the little ones to this day.

I'm sure there's a set that will cover all the sizes sold somewhere, but you'd end up with quite a few that may never be used.
