HBI trigger in P-10c without changing striker spring?
« on: April 02, 2018, 01:04:44 AM »
Hello all,

Has anyone installed the HBI Theta trigger and just left the factory striker spring in? I don't want much lighter of a pull, more so the flat dingus and hoping for a little less creep.

My first P10 had a 6lb trigger pull, my second out of the box was 4.5lbs. Changing the trigger will reduce pre-travel but not creep. The creep you feel is caused by the trigger bar/striker interface.

I experimented with the HBI trigger and several striker springs.

With the HBI flat trigger and the 3 pound striker spring mine is registering 3 pounds 14 ounces on my Lyman Digital scale.

Yup. I left the stock spring for now.

I don't think I actually meant creep. More of the plastic on plastic grit

That will still most likely be the striker/trigger bar interface.
