Rami recoil springs..
« on: April 02, 2018, 06:50:29 PM »
As much as I love my Ramis, got 3, why is the recoil spring always ,or almost always, OUT OF STOCK? A very small and inexpensive that is a must have should ve readily available. Not an item that will go bad if stored!

Not sure why they are always out of stock. I bought five a few years ago, so I should be good for a very long time.

Welcome aboard. I?m pretty sure they do, but I?ve never done it. Everything I?ve read, it?s the outer spring that wears out, not the inner.

Yes it comes apart CZ usa sent me a new inner spring after the spring broke @ 450 rounds  the assembly would crunch when compressed it had broken in 3 pcs. it was a SOB to take apart if I remember right.  When you do find them in stock buy a whole assembly and a few outer springs that should last you several years. Keep an eye on how far it ejects spent brass when they start flying in to the next county replace the outer spring. I think I spent $15 for the whole thing and $5 each for the outer springs.

Yeah, the springs are a high-demand part, given the low round count that CZUB recommends for replacement.  They get a batch in and the sell out in a week or 2 then months until the next batch comes in..rinse, lather, repeat.  All I can suggest is to sign up to be notified when they are back in stock at the CZ-USA webstore, then order as many as you feel like you may need for a while when they show back up.  When you stock gets low, do it again.  I picked up 5 and a full backup recoil spring assembly last time.  I'll re-order when I'm back down to 1 spare spring again.

Same predicament, with well over 1000 rounds on original recoil spring assembly, I bit the bullet:

Same here! I got the same springs for about $100.00 . Got it on one Rami. Not much improvement but not bad! Yes, this should be CZs responsibility How hard would it ge to manufacture these springs? Anybody ever try to convert other springs to fit the Rami ? A same weight spring should easily work even if it has to be trimmed to the same length! I understand the tension on a spring does not change no matter the length!

You can have CZ USA notify you by email when they come back into stock and then jump on a half dozen or so:

Otherwise, maybe people should contact Wolff about making a recoil spring for the Rami. I'm sure Wolff would love to turn a dollar on expendable springs that are bought in multiples, they might even come up with a more durable product than the OEM  springs from CZ. There is definitely a demand.
