Dating my CZ

I cant find a date on this anywhere. a previous thread shows the difference between a 75 D steel and a 75 BD steel. both compact. but when I compared mine to them. it looks like mine is a BD frame on a D slide.

Is it bad that my first thought in reading the title of this post was...?my wife accuses me of dating my cz as well! Shewww... I?m glad I?m not the only one!?

Usually there's a two digit number on the slide.  Either right in front of the ejection port, or right behind it (older pistols).

My CZ 75 Compact slide.  See the 16 at the beginning of the serial number (with the CZ logo/mark between the 16 and the serial number.  On this pistol the year stamp is in front of the ejection port.

The ?skinny? decocker lever on this steel frame D Compact would suggest it is most likely 1999 or possibly 2000. If you?re unable to read the two-digit year on the oval above the ejection port due to the refinishing process or it was poorly stamped to begin with, the SN might help with dating it within a year range. These have an alpha plus four digits SN, usually starting with F and have seen a couple with G in the SN. If you don?t mind sharing the alpha and first two digits of the SN, it might help. That?s a beautifully refinished steel frame 75 D Compact.

That is a 1999 with a low ?F? serial sequence.
