Traded for a CGW P-09
« on: April 05, 2018, 03:40:31 PM »
I just traded for a P-09 that was sent in to CGW to have the Pro kit installed, to go with my two P-07's and my P10c.
Gun is in great shape.  Just detail stripped it and cleaned it up good.

How does the trigger compare to a stock P-09? I shot a rental P-09 for the first time this morning and wasn?t that tickled with the trigger.

Congrads on your new P09 Mike. Sounds like a nice one. I also have 2 P07s, a P09 and a P10C. I really like them all.

Best regards.

There is no comparison. 2.8 lb SA almost 1911 crisp and 7 lb DA.  It may be better than my P-07 with the Pro kit.

They are great guns.  I have CGW parts in both P-07's.  One has the Pro kit and the other has CGW springs and I reworked the hammer and cleaned up the sear.  Not as good as the Pro kit, but very close.  HBi trigger and a couple of CGW parts in the P10c.

The original owner sent it in to CGW and they did their magic on it when they installed the Pro kit.  When I had it detailed striped, I re-polished a few parts after I had run it in the ultrasonic cleaner.  Oiled it up and put it back together.  Fabulous gun.  Thanks

I'll find out tomorrow.  I'm sure it will be.

Wow, I have just about the exact parts in my P07s and P10C. About the only major difference between the CZ P series pistols that we own is that my P09 is the Urban Gray with SR sights.

One of my P-07's is also.  The slide is at Primary Machine getting milled for the Vortex Viper optic.

The P-09 had an 18lb hammer spring and I changed it to a 15lb.  I also ordered a set of Talon grips.  I put them on most of my polymer guns.  Other than that, it looks good to go.  Taking it to the range today.
