I've been selling off some of my "duplicate" rifles (AR-15s, PS90, etc) and a few handguns that I have never shot because I just rarely get to go to the range. One night as I was finished posting some of my auctions I thought I'd look at this forum since I hadn't visited it for a long time. WHAT A MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some new colors for 2018 and my favorite.....ODG!!!! TIPPED ME OVER THE EDGE
I only have one CZ handgun left and it's my P-07 FDE. I love that gun. So when I saw the P-07 ODG there was no question that I was going to get one....I couldn't help myself.....my poor little FDE was so lonely
I picked up my beauty today and have her all lubed up and ready to go. Although both are GEN2 guns, there are four differences when comparing my FDE and the ODG. This isn't surprising since even the CZ website states that specs can be different depending on how the guns were ordered.
(1) The FDE came with night sights but they have some type of solid trit insert, not the night sight insert like the factory NS have with the white circle around them. I knew that when the run of FDE hit the stores but the sights seemed to glow really bright. Comparing them just now in a dark room......there is a huge different in brightness so I guess I'll probably be changing out the sights on the FDE....see what a trouble maker the ODG already is....little BRAT!!!!
(2) The FDE has a "fatter" and slightly different shaped trigger than the ODG
(3) The FDE came with a main spring with a lanyard loop (no big deal since I do have a loop one coming from one of our generous forum members) and some extra extended baseplates and the ODG didn't.
(4) The ODG has an LCI and the FDE doesn't
I'll have to see if the shape of the trigger matters to me or not. My guess is it won't matter.
I can't wait to go shoot my CZs, it's been awhile. I am really fond of the compact pistol (I always loved commander sized 1911s too) and this P-07 model really fits the bill. I haven't had any issues with the FDE and don't anticipate any with the ODG.
Here they are in and out of their High Noon holsters.
