My 1986 TZ 75 extractor seems to be machined in the slide. I cannot see anything that looks like a separate part and am having extraction/ejection problems. Anyone else have this problem or ideas on how to get it fixed - short of sending the gun back to the manufacturer?
I'm pretty sure the extractor is not machined in the slide. All of the CZ-pattern guns have a similar design regardless of who made them.
The main difference in the one's I've owned and seen is that the back of the opening in the Tanfoglio design's slide where the extractor sets opens into the firing pin chamber, and it's NOT open in the CZs. (I haven't seen any of the NEWER Tanfoglio guns, so that may have changed.) But the extractors are a separate piece held in place by a pin in every gun I've owned, seen, or shot.
You may want to contact the original poster (
fwdsunbum) to see if he has any pictures he can share with you, etc., as he seems to have the same gun. (There weren't many changes in the Tanfoglio design through the first 10-15 years of production.)
