CZ 75 Compact (P-01) magazine options

I recently acquired a new P-01 and want to purchase at lest 2 more magazines. Right now I am planning on getting two of the factory 16 round extended magazines but at $40+ I want to look at other options before I make my final decision. I am new to the CZ world so any help becoming a better informed buyer would be great.

Get Mec-Gar. No question. The quality is equal, and the price is much better.

I wouldn?t even consider paying near full price dor a factory CZ, Sig, or Beretta mag, if Mec-Gar?s are available.

Somebody recently posted that MecGar is coming out with a 15rd mag for the compact shortly. Will likely be cheaper if you don't mind losing 1 round in capacity.

The P01 on top has a 16 round magazine with a base plate that fits flush with the bottom of the frame (this is the style of magazine that came with the pistol).

The P01 on the bottom has a 14 round magazine with a rubber base plate (this is the style of magazine that came with the pistol).

I've bought more of the base plates and 16 round magazines (Mecgar, from Greg Cote, LLC) for my other Compacts.

Megcar I believe makes mags for CZ so in a sense they are "factory"

Mec-Gar and Greg Cote LLC are my two suggestions.
If Mec-gar doesn't make CZ mags then they are just as good as CZ.
Greg Cote LLC has always been good for me and not just for CZ mags.

I?m about get some mec-far flush fit baseplates but do the all hang over it can you get some that are flush (left and right) to the grip..so that it doesn?t interfere with your pinky?

Sorry if this is a dead horse.

Trying to find high capacity magazines for my CZ 75D Compact.
Love this gun, and hoping to have some 3Gun fun with it.

So do not need them to fit clothing or holsters, etc. Just need them to run and eject well.
Really they would not have to lock back, as most mag changes would happen before empty typically anyway.
I see a few options for 19 round magazines for 75's. However occasionally I see a *note: will not fit other models.

I am not sure what I have other than its a CZ75D Compact 9mm.
Not sure if its PCR, p-01, what have you.

Its a great gun, and I enjoy it. Want to have some extra sporting fun with it.... doing some run and gun activities.

Yay... just found this great explanation on another thread.

For the standard 75B-based guns, which come in two frame sizes, there are two basic magazine sizes.

1) Magazines for compact 75B-based semi-autos.  These comes in 10- and 14-round capacities. These two  magazines are the same physical size and either will work in a compact gun.  The different capacities are due to changes inside the mags.  These are the only mags that will fit flush with the bottom of the compact gun's grip.

2) Magazines for the original/standard full-size 75B-based semi-autos.  These mags come in 10-, 15-, and 16-round sizes.  These mags are physically longer than the "compact" magazines, but the physical dimensions of the 10, 15, and 16 mags are all the same; the different capacities are due to changes inside the mags.

CZ offers other even-higher capacity 75B magazines for other variants of the 75B full-size guns -- and while all of these magazines will work in a compact 75B-based gun, they will all extend farther out of the grip than a mag designed for a compact model.
