Baby Eagle II 45 brass ejection.
« on: April 14, 2018, 08:28:39 PM »
Found a new Baby Eagle II 45 new in box at a local shop. Shoots very well. My only concern is that it ejects the brass about 20 feet to the right with Winchester white box. Is this normal? I haven’t tried my reloads yet. I like to break in new guns with factory ammo.

20 ft sounds excesive for SAMI normal pressure ammo.  Perhaps a heavier recoil spring to slow the the slide down a touch.  Had the opposite problem with my new P120 dribbling out shell casings so I'm going with lighter spring.  In my case, break in should help reduce friction, speed up the slide.  Same in your case, but might end up throwing cartridges further.  You could document problem with customer service -- they just might mail you a couple heavier recoil springs to try out.
