With the slide stop out but the slide still on the frame, you can see through the slide stop notch just where your slide is relieved to let the slide stop come out. Compare that to where your take down hash marks line up for future reference.

Maybe I should have read my manuals too... I've never known about the half cock step.

The half cock method works on all of my CZs except my SP-01 with SAO conversion.  The lines were not aligned.

I learned the Half Cock Method from my RAMI, and transferred the method to all of my hammer fired CZs.  The only one it doesn't work on is a 97B.  I need to align the marks on that one for some reason.
