CZ75 Pre B with custom Red Dot mount
« on: April 29, 2018, 01:59:33 AM »
Got my spare upper for my Pre B back from my gunsmith this week.

He made me a custom Des Dot mount based on a picatinny rail with a backup sight included in den rail.

It is meant for a Docetr Sight (Red Dot) or basically any other scope that is mounted on a pica rail.

her some pics....and yes, it is kind of sick, but cool

CZ Custom used to make a very similar mount that used the OEM dovetail. I tried it, but couldn't get used to the height with the dot mounted.

I never really shot with Red Dots before, so it`s a new thing to me. Will see, how I get along. Will do some dry firing here before hitting the range sunday

The high mount is fine for Bullseye shooting, for practical shooting it's very tough to acquire the dot.

I like the fact that the irons were saved to use as a backup if the optic went down. That see thru was very smart. Well done.

Yeah.....as you can see on the picture, the sight picture with the backup sight is pretty sharp and crisp.....

Like a 'peep hole' sight with the optic on top. Your gunsmith did it perfectly.
