Need Help getting Decocker in.
« on: May 02, 2018, 11:35:54 PM »
Can't seem to get my decocker installed. Everything in the sear cage is under tension and everything is lined up correctly from I'm seeing and know. Put the hammer spring in, and the gun "fires" just fine.

You need a pointed tool to pry the leg of the spring on the right up out of it's slot for the decocker shaft to enter the sear cage.

^^^^^ this. A small pick works great. If the spring leg keeps falling off the pick, just pry up enough to fit a chunk of WD 40 straw over the spring leg. Then you can use it to pry the spring up.

So you have to depress the decocker slightly with a punch to get the decocker lever to seat all the way. The lever has a cam that slips under the decocker in the cage.

I didn't capture this very well in this video but here is a video that shows how to assemble a decocker model cz.
