New issue with P-10C

Ideally, a striker block safety would be unnecessary on any gun if they only fired when the trigger was pulled. I'm using an excerpt from the Glock user manual, but since it's a function check it applies to nearly all striker fired handguns. Following the instructions specified I can defeat my striker block safety about 50% of the time. That's 50% more than I am comfortable with.

But you are using a safety check and picture of a Glock striker that operates completely different from the P10C.  The back of the trigger bar on the P10C just in front of the sear holds the striker safety in position until the trigger is pulled on the P10C.  Just like the VP9 swings the striker safety out of the way.  Both CZ and HK have decided to go away from the post/plunger safety system I'm assuming to improve the trigger pull.  Just because you can defeat the safety with the pistol field stripped doesn't mean anything is wrong with the system.  You just aren't comfortable with a safety system that you are not familiar with.  That is fine just buy a Glock or a M&P and move on.  Sending your P10C back to CZ is not going to change the design of the safety.  David

I see the part of the trigger bar you are talking about but I don't see how it holds the safety in place. with the trigger in the cocked position it sits in front of the safety and doesn't make contact until the trigger is squeezed and the ramped face pushes it out of the safe position.

The back edge is making contact is how I?ve seen it demonstrated. Also the striker is just sitting in a neutral position when the slide is off the frame. Remember the striker is pulled back under tension sitting in a cocked position on the ledge of the sear when the slide is on and cycled. It is held back passed the red arrow in your picture. There is a lot of things going on that engineering designs in that we don?t see with the gun all together in battery. In the end though if you are not confident in the system there are tons of other good options out there. David

I have a P 10 with close to 4000 rounds threw it and have not had one problem that other people on you tube seem to find not one.
My serial # starts with a 1 so its an  earlier issued one. Some people have had some issues with breaking strikers but thats an easy
fix. It is one of the most reliable and accurate hand guns i own.

Again, Glock and CZ strikers are at rest until you pull the trigger.  Doesn't matter if there is a striker block safety.
