Maryland is getting bad. Had to get licensed to buy and have to repay every 2 years, After spending enough on classes for a pump shotgun. 10rd limit as well.
In some ways living a state that WON"T allow you to buy just anything sometimes works in my favor.  I'd love a P-07 and a P-09, but they are not on the CA roster.  It does keep me in check, almost.

The 10 round limit is only a restriction on purchases made IN STATE. You are allowed to cross state lines, buy extended magazines and bring them back legally to use. Just fyi (I work in a gun shop). I travel to PA every few months and buy myself a few more at a time.

Our shop always has a good selection of CZ models on display, but I have YET to see, much less handle, a P-09. I am tempted to just order one and take the chance. I have  P-01 and P-07 as primary and backup open carry pistols for the shop, and SP-01 Tactical and 75BD as primary and secondary competition guns. The P-09 would be a good range gun, I think...

Something just for size comparison. Tough to see from a pic, but that P09 is huge

P09 stays bedside and range time for me.   Carrying seems a little bananas

Can't think of any reason NOT to buy a P-09, unless you need a carry gun.  In which case I would go with the P-07 instead.  In fact, I'm going to wait a couple more paychecks and I'm probably getting a P-07 myself for carry.

The P-09 is my bedside gun, and I just don't see any other handgun out there supplanting it.  It's outstanding.

I keep going back and forth between a P10, P09(already have P07) and a SP01 Phantom.

The P-07 is a great gun. Extremely accurate and reliable, good compact size. Can EDC or Nightstand. Home on the range and decent for comp. Does it all. IF you like DA/SA do you need a striker?? I ditched most of mine.

Believe me, you don't need an excuse to buy another CZ.  I lost count after 5. O0
But, you haven't said what you would want the next one to DO?

I do like my P-09 but my P-07s are also great pistols for range and HD/SD.
All shoot very well.

Here are a few  reasons:

1- you dislike accurate guns. You enjoy missing the target

2- you want a gun that recoils , not one whose minimal recoil helps with double taps or target reengagment

3- you want to pay a lot for performance

All said tongue in cheek. The P09 is an accurate, mild recoiling, and inexpensive pistol. I love mine.

Dont buy one! Seriously.

I bought one, and 2 mags (4 total).
Here is where the issue started.

Had to buy more subsonic ammoes, 2K of it.
Then, sheesh.....I sent a wad of cash to Cajun Gun works, then some to Primary Machining, now I gotta figure out who makes a magwell and baseplates I like.
THEN, good gawd oh mighty, I have to send Trijicon some Benjis too!
I swear I would have more money as a heroin addict  :o

 ;D

I think, once i get the last few things, this P-09 will sit second to my Shadow 2.....a very close 2nd, mind you.
