My polycoat CZ's have held up fine to carry wear. That said, I wouldn't pay $650 for a P-01 just to buy it locally. Over MSRP is little unreasonable in my opinion, they are too easy to find online. P-07's on the other hand have a fair amount of variation in trigger quality so I'd prefer to dryfire one before buying.

Oh no. That remark about trigger quality consistency didn?t make my decision any easier. They don?t have a new P-07 in stock. The one I handled was one of their range rentals. If I tell them I want to go with the 07 instead then it has to be ordered

FYI:
For comparison here's an image of my P-01 barrel (foreground) and my P-07 black nitrated barrel after ~3,000 rounds each. I log my shooting so this is not a guess. Probably no effect on accuracy, but the P-01 is clearly more 'worn-in'. Ditto for the slide rails. I use EWG Extreme Weapons Grease or Slide-Glide grease on both. The P-07 nitrate finish is just flat-out much harder and more durable.

It'll more than likely be fine. You don't have to accept it if it's not to your liking.

IMHO, the finish on the P-01 barrel seem to be just an afterthought on CZ part. Originally the barrels on all the 75 variant pistols were uncoated.  I even heard some people removing the coating and having no issues with the uncoated barrel.

I?m probably going to be calling the dealer tomorrow and placing an order for the P-07. Unless anyone has any last minute advice. Worst case scenario I waited too long and they take the offer off the table to transfer the funds and then I just HAVE to get the P-01  ::)

I think you'll be happy whichever way you go. That's why most of us own both. Or multiples of both. . . O0

Go for it, you cant go wrong either way. Judging from your thread, the other pistol will likely join you sometime in the future anyhow!

As much as I would like to say get the p01, I think you should get the P-07 use the extra money to buy a holster an extra magazine or two, carry it, train with it and whenever you have the ability do the same with the p01. I just bought a p01 and am going to be buying a PCR because I liked it so much. I like the metal framed pistols more than the polymer. But I have been thinking about getting a p09 suppressor ready with the 21 round magazine as a bedside gun.

Any idea what holsters out there would fit the P-07 with an APLc on it? I have an aliengear iwb and they allow you to do free shell swaps for life but they don?t have a shell for a light bearing P-07. I was hoping not to have to spend the money for a new holster but if I put the light on the gun it looks like I?ll have to.

Funny how majority of people actually responding to the post seem to be pushing me towards the 07 but if you just look at the poll results it tells a different story ???

Get one now, buy the other one later. Easy.

Since the P-01 is above MSRP, the P-07 is a better deal. Buy the P-01 later when the big dealers get the next shipment in and the price is more reasonable.

You will eventually get both.  ;D And yes, I do get paid to convince people to buy CZs.  O0 O0

Like I said, the heart says P-01, but the head says P-07. I think the 01 has earned a certain level of status that is equal parts logic and emotion. Emotion just doesn't seem to come into play as much with polymer guns. Then again, I've never been a member of a Glock forum.
