Surprising trade that materialized
« on: May 15, 2018, 05:00:09 PM »
Recently, my local gun store owner showed me a fully Cajunized SP-01 tactical with aluminum grips and an RMR red dot.

The guy who purchased it sent it to CGW before ever shooting it.

When it came back, he thought it was too heavy and never shot it or even attempted to zero in the red dot site.

I couldn't believe what I was looking at. He told me the owner had $1,800 dollars in the gun. (He's a rich guy who buys new toys like this often and quickly gets tired of them).

Not really expecting anything, I offered to trade him my Springfield Armory EMP 4 1911. (Purchased it for $1,100)

The guy made the trade, much to my shock!

After zeroing in the site, I can honestly say it has been the greatest firearm experience of my life. It feels like cheating.

The gun doesn't move when I pull the trigger. Also, with iron sites, I basically shoot like a beginner. But with this Viper red dot on the SP-01 tactical, I can shoot rounds into the same hole nearly every time.

It feels like magic.

Ladies and gentlemen, get an RMR to go along with that buttery CGW trigger system for your full-sized CZ!

Pics or it didn’t happen.

But seriously that’s a score! Is it actually a Trijicon RMR or another optic? Some people use RMR synonymously with a red dot optic.

Go shoot it!

It is not technically a Trijicon. (But I am from the deep south so I call all soft drinks, "cokes)!

The red dot is a Vortex Viper.

I would post pics if I understood how to easily do it.

I have the Vortex Viper on my P-07. I love it.

+1 on the Viper.  Nice Score!
And welcome to the world of Red Dots!
I've often thought the same thing; it does feel like cheating.

Great score! You’re absolutely right about shooting with a red dot is like cheating. I put one on my TSO and it’s a joy to shoot.

Enjoy your new toy!
