2018 p10c changes?
« on: May 17, 2018, 12:07:49 PM »
I am looking to purchase a CZ P10c.  I have  heard that there have been some upgrades from CZ to address the slide back plate and the striker rotation issues.  Can someone elaborate on this?   Also list the SKU or part numbers for the latest gen pistols if you can.  Thanks!

Go to pg 3, and look for a thread titled Wow...nitride,  then look at the pics you'll see the upgraded backplate, and know what to look for when shopping, at this point, since this is a recent change, I would'nt buy one via the internet sight unseen, as there's probably alot of  new, older guns sitting in wholesaler's warehouses, so you could'nt be sure exactly what you'd get. The striker assembly has been up graded for awhile, and from what I've read striker rotation seems to have been resolved. Fixing the backplate was a huge improvement..

I have a new version that has the notch in the rear of the slide. The rear backplate is just as loose as my older version so I?m not sure i would say they fixed it. I don?t know if it will impede function or not but it is definitely loose.

What purpose does the notch serve?

Thanks for all the info guys.  I just put a deposit on a P10c in FDE with black slide.  It has the steel recoil spring rod and the new striker.  Will pick it up in a few days.  I was able to choose from several.  I picked the one that had a slightly smoother trigger.  It also had factory night sights with an orange ring on the front.  Very excited.

Here are a few pics and initial impressions.  2018 production, Sr# C4750XX.  It has the updated striker, steel guide rod, and orange ringed front night sight and white ringed rear night sights.  Mag release is heavy/gritty but I have since polished it some.  Trigger pull is 4.7 lbs.  There is some creep with a crisp break and reset is short and positive.  Not quite a PPQ but more like a much improved GLOCK.   Mag springs are very stiff.  I bought two lightly used mags that feel softer.  New mags are currently loaded to capacity to get them set.  Slide stop is just that.  It's way to heavy release with it.

I'm amazed how beefy the barrel pivot lug is.  Same goes for the trigger bar slide stop and mag release.

I cleaned all of the factory lube.  I lubed rotating parts with Lucas extreme oil.  Sliding parts were lubed with Lucas Extreme grease.

Finish looks and feels great.  Grip frame is very stiff and grippy.  Just ordered a Comp Tax international in FDE.   I will out some rounds through it tomorrow.

I haven't actually looked at my White Nitride recoil spring guide, no clue if it's poly or steel.

I just picked up a p10c today with the test fire date of April 2018, it is FDE, has the notch in the striker plate. Mine has trikicon front with a white ring and rear with trijicon inserts

I have the night sights sent to replace the standard sights on my FDE, which was that weird orphan without the night sights. That set does not have the orange ring front.

How much were they if you don't mind me asking?
