Threaded 97 barrels?

UPDATE: 

It has been 2 years now since I got the Bar-Sto threaded barrel.  After 1,100 rds of S&B 230gr through it the barrel and suppressor are still working just fine!  I shot 70 rounds through it yesterday with no problems at all.  Pistol worked flawlessly as usual.

No, demand isn't that high at all.  Demand for 97B's isn't that high either compared to other .45 brands.  Others probably just buy a .45 that already comes threaded.

I don't know of another source for a threaded 97B barrel.  If you really want it, buy it.  Who knows if it will still be available later on.

Another perfect day with the 97B, Barsto and Octane 45 easily handling another 80 rds of FMJ with no problems at all.   

Sorry for the resurrection but curious your piston that you are using, I’m getting a silencerco suppressor as well and it lists 2 different pistons the .578x 28 and .578 x 28 XL.  Thanks

My piston says .578 x 28 on it.  Nothing else.

XL (extra length) pistons are for firearms where the silencer requires additional length between the threaded barrel and the silencer.  An XL piston is simply longer than the regular piston.

Another 75 FMJ rds through the 97B and suppressor.  All flawless!

I placed an order with Barstow last week for one of their threaded barrels. 12 to 14 weeks delivery was quoted. Now all there is to do is wait and research suppressors.
Not getting any younger!

Congrats! that sounds like fun. I hope the wait is worth it. I just cleaned both of my 97s and chased a small spring across the room.

Now the hard choice, which of the 2 97s do I fit it to and start looking seriously for a suppressor. I purchased a Holosun 507c and adapter plate last month in anticipation of a need.

Congrats!  Thats not bad at all. Mine took about 5 months. It was totally worth the wait.

The barrel showed up from Barstow yesterday, delivered by  FedEx. I didn't have the opportunity to get the two 97s out of the safe and make a decision on which one will be the candidate. The barrel came with a print showing the areas that need fitting on the top of the chamber and cam areas. It doesn't look like it's beyond my ability. I've only had the 97s for about 3-4 months and haven't had a chance to get to know so probably won't mess with either until I shoot them some.

Just ordered my 2nd threaded barrel for 97 number 2.

Got a rugged 45 can in jail that hopefully should be getting released as am seeing others with the same certification date as me getting their cans.

The 1 barrel I fitted was a fun experience. It was midnight on the kitchen table with all the files and dychem and stuff.

Just got my Rugged 45 can on Monday, shoot a 1911 and Sig P220.  Unfortunately no CZ 97 as I dragged my feet getting the 1 threaded barrel I have fitted.

I finally got around to fitting my Barstow barrel this morning. Rather painless. It took about 30 minutes at the most. I checked the new barrel on both of my 97s and there was only. 001 difference in the measurement. The new 97 was a hair tighter than my used 97. Now  I need to get serious about suppressor shopping.
