My CZ 75 D Compact PCR with its alloy frame, loaded with 15, 147gr JHP, in its IWB Kydex holster with sweat shield, tips the scales at 2 lbs 6-1/4 oz. Not all steel, but also not a light pistol. I know the gun is there, but it's also very comfortable and I have no problems carrying it because it doesn't move or pull my pants down.
I carry it in the small of my back at about 5 o'clock under an untucked shirt. Even my wife doesn't know it's there, even when I tell her.
The key, as others have said, is the heavy 1-1/2" wide leather gunbelt holding it up.
I highly recommend the one I got on Amazon: $60. I wear it every day, with pants or shorts. It's getting better with age. Great belt. It's thick -- about 1/4".

The holster is from concealedconcept on ebay. $22.50 (be sure to tell seller to include the full sweat shield). I carry it in >100 degree heat and sweat against it somewhat, but so far the sweat shield has protected the gun well.

Theoretically you can carry it with shirt tucked it. Of course, the clip will show if the shirt is tucked.
Another option is the hybrid holster I got for my Walther P99c AS. It has leather against your skin and Kydex holding the gun. Not too thick. Full leather sweat shield. Only $25.
