Okay...here are field strip photos.

Of note is the cylindrical weight on the recoil spring which moves to soften recoil.

The slide rides INSIDE the frame like many CZs lowering the bore axis.

The channel for slide and frame runs the entire length of the gun.

The barrel is tight without needing a barrel bushing.

That extension on the barrel peanut so that i can meet up with the repositioned recoil spring placement is neat. I wonder if they considered changing the lock up design when they were developing this pistol. They stuck with the 1911/CZ 75 lugs rather than using the front of the barrel hood. I was looking at the newly manufactured Sig P210s today and it looks like Sig redesigned the lock up from the original.

Thank you for the pic.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

I agree the gun is heavy and not for everyone or every purpose.

I took a group (4oo5) of my brothers to my range to shoot an assortment of my CZs.  I asked each what was his favorite.  It turns out that their choice correlated to their arm strength and grip strength.  Those of us with stronger arms and grips preferred the heavier guns.

One of my goals is to achieve a grip strength akin to Jerry Miculek (3rd son of one of my mother's high school friends).  He has been described as "having the grip strength of a silver back gorilla".  Watch some of his videos about training with a 2" closet dowel to learn how to reduce muzzle rise.

One of the videos by FK BRNO was shooting boars, but not as a "finishing" shot, but as the original take-down shot due to hydrodynamic shock.  They did a similar one taking down a buck at 160 meters with one shot.

This isn't a competition gun unless you're in a life or death battle with someone wearing body armor.

There is a polymer framed version with an optics cut and caliber interchangeability coming out at a lower price around 2k.

I would like to take one apart and see what is inside.

I plan on getting the FK PSD next (polymer frame) and the 10mm/.40 barrel swap.  That way my 10mm Dan Wesson Bruin will have some company. You can get some pretty "hot" 10mm loads.

I forgot to mention that this gun is designed to shoot more accurately Weaver-style which is why the back of the grip is a bit flatter.  That way recoil is directed back into your dominant arm and doesn't move the gun left or right like it might using an isosceles grip.

BTW...I posted the assembly photos since you expressed a desire for a look inside.  Is your avatar Race Bannon from Jonny Quest?

Each firearm has a purpose.... If that purpose for you is to shoot beer cans off a rock 100m away, or to shoot a wild hog and make it’s head explode... you have my full support. Guns are awesome

The hammer looks antique and heavy. Heavy hammer is not the best for long range precision.

FK PSD with extra 10mm/.40 barrel ordered, confirmed, credit card charge cleared.

They said it might be up to 60 days for delivery.

Also added more ammo to my order, including one of the other two loads (F9 currently not available).

The THREE (3) ammo designations are:  S95 (High terminal effect), F9 (Semi-wad cutter) and F5 (Frangible)

Read up on them and the Dynamic Shock Index (new characterization): https://fkbrnous.com/fk-brno-ammo/
