P-01 Trigger Options
« on: June 12, 2018, 02:22:20 AM »
Is there anything I need to know before swapping out the trigger on my P-01? Any common pitfalls or potential difficulties I should be aware of? Is there a consensus "best" replacement trigger?

Thanks all!

I like this trigger the best,

And definitely replace the original trigger pin with the GCW floating trigger pin.

If you wish to shave 1/2# off your trigger pull for no extra work the CGW Reduced Power Trigger Return Spring is a good option and comes with a slave pin you will need to make for yourself even if you reuse the stock TRS.

You definitely want to have good assortment of quality punches in the correct sizes when working on your gun.

The only pitfall I've run into is that sometimes the trigger bar hasn't just lifted out of the frame and since I wasn't about to remove the sear cage for a simple trigger swap, I just did the trigger replacement with everything still in the frame. Takes a few minutes more but it's a whole lot less involved then it would be if I had to deal with the sear cage.

Seconded to replacing the trigger pin. Most people get the Combat Trigger or the Flat Trigger, depending on what they're using their CZ for. I went with the Thick Trigger because I don't intend to use the over travel screws of the Combat. The nice thing about a new trigger pin is they come with the slave pin which makes reinstalling a lot easier.

Also, if you've never opened up your P01 before, the biggest difficulty would probably be reassembling the sear. Otherwise the trigger is super easy.

I appreciate the responses. Sorry for the delay. We've had a wild few days at home.
