I was just coming here with a similar issue. I wasn't able to find the faux suppressor on the CZ custom webpage.

This may be an option for you. Either a 6 or 8 inch, 1/2 x 28 thread should be compatible with the carbine. I had confirmation from tacticool that this is indeed the case.

Although I once owned a couple, I don't really have a SIGnature.

Not trying to be a jerk, but what's the point of a fake can?

Some places a real can is illegal.

In order to not SBR something, permanently attaching a fake can can get you the 16? length you need

...and to some people it looks cooler then having a pencil barrel hanging out. We can all say looks dont mean anything but I always chased pretty girls and cool cars.

Neither these Tacticool or the Silencerco faux cans do not add any length the the barrel. The threads are located at the exit end of the can.

That?s right.  These are basically just a hand guard/barrel shroud.

Well they look cooler than the other version

Tacticool shroud is on sale for $42.00.

I agree it is only beneficial as a cosmetic mod; as are so many popular add-ons. At $42 its easy to justify this vanity purchase.
Although I once owned a couple, I don't really have a SIGnature.

It's my fault.

In trying to share info with you guys, I talked myself into buying something I really wasn't too interested in.

$46.29 to my door? Had to give it a try.

It's a solid quality build. It improves the appearance IMHO. I wish I could buy a real suppressor for the scorpion that looked just like this one.

I also wish that the hearing protection bill was.... Oh well. As they say: wish in one hand & defecate in the other...

tacticool22.com barrel shroud

I've looked at tacticool22.com before, but was unsure whether their shroud's opening is bigger enough for the 9mm round since it seems their description is geared more toward .223/5.56 (AR-15) and .22 lr calibers. Can you confirm whether yours indeed works for the 9mm Scorpion? And what thread option did you go with? I'm really interested in such barrel shroud as well and would appreciate any detail you can share. Thanks.

I just saw your post. Sorry about the delay in response;

I dropped a new round through the (obviously ample enough clearance) muzzle of the faux silencer before mounting it. No contact.

The thread pitch on the newer scrorpions (all the carbines, I think) is 1/2x28. This is the most common pitch and diameter for any threaded barrel. Earlier pistols were a different spec but I believe Tacticool also has this option.

If you consider that this 1/2x28 pattern is common to most caliber barrels and that this is essentially a shroud that extends aft of the barrels muzzle, you can conceive  that enough clearance is there even for larger than 9mm rounds.

I might also add that I have safely put 200'ish rounds through the barrel since threading on the new shroud. No negative effect on accuracy or balance to report.
