Cerephim, let us know how it went!

I have a 527 Lux in 223 from 2016 that wasn't all that accurate at first; 1-2" groups with factory ammo was the norm.  Handloads were a little better, but not much. One thing you can try is the CZ Roll Pin pillar trick. There is usually a roll pin in the rear action screw hole; I took another roll pin, measured the height for the front action screw hole in the wood, cut and filed a roll pin to just a touch above that (so it sits on the pin and not the wood) and try that.  Then make a new rear roll pin that is the same height above the wood depth as the front pin is taller above the wood depth; this will let the action ride on the pins that can't compress and not the wooden stock, which can compress (AKA pillar bedding the rifle, but using inexpensive roll pins and no epoxy to try it out first).  You get a more consistent tightening of the action screws, too.   One of the first groups I shot with it was horizontally spread, but vertically very tight.  So I opened up the barrel channel a bit (especially around the sight block) and that improved things a lot and then did the epoxy bedding like I described in the other post.

Thanks Taz!
I've written to CZ to see what their opinion is.  Before I go performing surgery on the rifle, I want to see what they say.
However, I'm keeping your suggestion warm on the back burner.

Have you verified the scope yet?

I'd also be curious to see what happens if you tailor cartridges to that actual rifle with brass that has now been fire-formed to that chamber.

Too late...  I already sent it back.  CZ customer service was more than happy to help.

Even on the verification paper that came with the rifle, the group was >2moa.  The CS rep said 2moa is the max they allow for their rifles.  I don't understand how that rifle made it past quality assurance, unless they're so hounded by their customer base wanting more rifles that they're loosening tolerances on what goes out the door.

They (CZ customer service) are going to take it to their accuracy shop, and see what they can do with it.  Time will tell.
I am very pleased that they are taking it back pretty much on my word.  That sort of importance placed on customer satisfaction is rare these days.

Yes, I verified the scope on another rifle.  It was off by a good amount, but it grouped well.

Got a brand new rifle from CZ in the mail today.  Different serial number.  I'll have to see how it groups.

Different serial number where?  Is it possible they simply fit a new barrel?

I don't think they just fit a new barrel.  The serial number on the receiver is different, the stock is different, it came to me in a brand new box with new documentation, and two new magazines!  I can't think of another company that would throw in magazines for free; especially when they cost $40!
I did have to clean the rifle.  It was pretty nasty, especially the bore.  They must not have cleaned it from the test fire.

I still haven't gotten a chance to shoot it.  Life has gotten in the way...

Try the other way Winchester has 45gr @ 3600fps. Mine love them.
It is a 22. Why does everyone want to shoot big bullets.

I got a 527 carbine shot like crap. Then match Grade ammo shoots like a match grade rifle but she'll only hold two shot groups 3rd shots about an inch or two off. Shot a bunch of two shot groups at 200 yards about a half inch apart. It's free floated it just gets hot

Try the scope off the 308. The difference should be noticable, that and some good factory ammo.
