Other CZ's with a grip like the Shadow 2?

So my first any only CZ started as a Shadow 2, and I love it, I then stumbled across an mint Orange for a steal at a local shop.

I replaced the aluminum S2 grips with VZ checkered grips and it just melts in my hand, super grip, no hot spots, great recoil control.   I put LOK palm swell grips on the Orange and love that as well, oddly I didn't like them on the S2 at all.

Anyway I was curious what other CZ's in the non-target range have the same grip as the S2 if any?   I've handled several of the other guns SP-01 tactical, P-01, 75 Compact, Phantom.  The Phantom felt close but I didn't really want another polymer gun, but the others just didn't feel anywhere near the same in the hand.  I'm wondering if it was just because of the rubber palm swell grips, or if the grip design itself is just significantly different.

The Shadow 2's grip is pretty unique, mainly because of the angle on the backstrap.  The grip frame's width is pretty close to that of the SP01, but that backstrap makes the same grip panels on either gun feel very different.  In particular I think the Shadow 2's more dominant in the front-to-back feel.  I like my Shadow 2 as a SAO (which I converted it to), but not so much as a DA first pull.....I much prefer my SP01 Shadow as a DA/SA.  The SP01's definitely 'melt' into my my hand more, whereas the S2's grip 'wedges' my grip up.

Don?t laugh too hard, but that?s one reason I love my pair of CZ 100s so much! Allow me to add also, I did have the grip aggressively stippled on the one I use as primary EDC, since it is smooth with virtually no texturing from the factory besidesa few raised ridges (as pics show). It really does lock into my hand better than any other pistol I have ever had, even with the smooth grip.

You're kind of stuck if you like the S2 ergonomics that much over the SP01/Shadow 1.

Thanks for the info.  I'll have to see if I can find some with G10 grips to check out on the SP-01/Shadow 1 perhaps that will make all the difference.   If not I guess being stuck with the S2 and TSO is hardly something to complain about.

It's 2023, and I found this thread in my search for a carry gun with the same grip feel and angle of my beloved Shadow 2s.  Like the OP, I'm also searching for something similar to my S2 but with a firing pin block.  If only CZ made a gun such an updated version of the SP-01, maybe SP-02 with optic plate and S2 ergos.  I'd buy a second version as well with an aluminum compact frame.  One can hope.

Not a CZ per se, but you could look at some of the Tanfoglio Stock II-III models. They have FPBs even though they are competition oriented, in particular the Stock III Pro looks like it has a very similar grip style to the S2. I’ve been drooling over the Stock III Pro myself but have zero need for it since I’m already so invested in SP01’s.

I second the suggestion to try handling/shooting some Tanfos.  I have a Stock II OR and the ergos are similar to an S2 with more of an undercut under the beavertail.  I like the Tanfo's ergos even better than my beloved CZs, from my SP01 to S2 to TS2. Worth checking out.
