why do these 2 compacts look different?
« on: June 21, 2018, 06:04:54 AM »
Here are 2 guns that i think are the exact same gun except for 1 being custom.  But, the finish looks matt black on the one i like, glossy black on the other.  Is this because of the camera work or are there differences?  I'm going to buy a PCR very soon, if there is a way to get a mat finish i would love to know, thanks!

The more expensive one has had custom work done to it such as trigger and hammer

The non custom one looks like just a stock photo of the gun.  So it's most likely highly lit and post image processed.
The picture of the custom gun looks like a picture of the actual gun for sale, and they just don't do "pro" level pictures.

ok thanks. thats a relief.  I didn't want to shop around for a special version of a gun thats already hard to find.  glad to hear you think the finish is the same

With that all being said, if you really want a matte finish, then keep looking for used guns and pictures of the actual gun for sale.  Because a new gun will definitely have more gloss.

Both guns have the same black poly coat finish.

Saw the second link and got excited for a second, thought the PCR Customs were back in stock at OakHill [emoji19] perhaps someday!!
