I would have to give you a dozen different bullets to cover the bases for what I have done, do, and might do with 9mm.  I pick bullets for a specific use in a specific gun, not simply a specific caliber.  If the specific use calls for 9mm, I'd still need to know the application to choose which pistol to use, then from the pistol give you the bullet weight, profile, and type for that application.  ;)

Any suggestions for a coated 124-135gr bullet in a Shadow for USPSA.  Sport Pistol powder.

using Ibejiheads 147 flat nosed with W231 3.4 , CCI Primers and having great luck. My buddy and I have tried almost a dozen different combinations 124, 135 a few different types of bullets and this combo is working very well. Pf is right around 130 so shoots very flat from my Shadow 2

DeltaPoint flat head 147's were the other BH that we found was very accurate and reliable.

We had been running 124gr Bayou Bullets with TiteGroup, but after a little tinkering, we've swapped it up some. Now, we use the following...

155gr Swamp Popper coated RN (local bullet maker)
3.0gr Sport Pistol
Fiocchi small pistol primer
1.125 OAL

Works in my wife's XDMs (5.25 main gun and OSP 4.5 backup) and my "old as dirt" SP01, as well as my TriStar P120. Recoil is so light it's almost comical. Makes 131pf in the SP01 and the 4.5 XDM.

Most of what I shoot is a MP 359-125 sized to .358 and lubed w/ White Label 2500+ or CR.  Weight ranges from a 125 hollow point to a 135 grain solid.  I rarely cast hollow points so it?s mostly 135s.  I also have a MP 357-135 which is the same profile but the mold drops bullets at .357 and is a solid only mold.  I have it strictly for a PPS.  It doesn?t like anything over .356.  And sizing down from .359 is a bit to much.  I rarely shoot jacketed since the cost is to high.

If I want any heavier I will use a NOE 358-155 TC ELCO.  It was designed from the ground up for the 9mm.  It?s one of the most accurate molds I own.  Bullets drop at 158 grains w/ the alloy I use.   The hollow point version, which I don?t own because I don?t like NOE?s RG molds, was designed to drop a 147 grain bullet.

I use (my favorite) is PD 124g JHP

I have also started using some Bayou 124 coated RN because a buddy of mine swore by them.
I have tried a bunch of different ones and continue to try various styles but always seem to come back to PD 124g JHP

My preferred bullet so far is the H&S 147gr FP. Also tried Gallant 147gr FP in .357 dia. I know its not on the list but currently trying a Blue Bullet 135gr TC for the cost(6.4 cents per).

Missouri Bullet Co (MBC) has a 130gr coated RN they call IDP#8 which is 0.357" dia. This runs great in CZs. You can order this as a "bundle", which is what MBC calls the maximum number of bullets you can ship in a single USPS Priority Shipping box. That works out to be around 3000 bullets. That's their best delivered price. You'll get them in 3 days.

There is a IDP#8 bullet test thread and that powder got tested:

My shooting buddy and I roll our own and lately. We've been using the Ibejihead 147 flatheads. Win 231 and CCI primers loaded at 3.4 grains coming in right at a PF of 130. they shoot nice and flat out of my Shadow 2 and his Target II.

I also like the Deltapoint 147 flatheads but they are a bit more expensive and for the volume we shoot.... the cheaper that performs, the better.  :)

Blue Bullets 125 TC's.  RN is fine too but I can load longer in my CZ & 1911 with the TC.

I use CamPro bullets. I like 124 and 147 grain. I've had more success with the 124 grain. 2 different 1911 nines I've owned did not like the 147 grain.
Lately I've been shooting 40 s&w with 180 grain CamPros.
These are plated bullets by the way. I just bought some Zero 165 JHP bullets. I really like there accuracy so far. They definitely shoot better than plated bullets and they're very reasonably priced.

I prefer 124 grain myself for the CZ?s, just received 1,000 magtech to try out ? was the sweet spot for value when I did my last order. (196 delivered) Couldn?t resist
I’ve got a few CZ’s...
