P10c Stippling
« on: July 16, 2018, 03:36:00 PM »
Hey guys,

I'm new here so nice to (cyberly) meet you all. I just picked up a new black finish p10c and I'm interested in getting some cerakote and some stippling done.

My question is: Is Danger Close Armament the only gunsmith that does "brain texture" stippling for these firearms that good? See attached reference pic.

Their work is really nice but $300 just for stippling is a little up there. I guess they charge a premium for the really clean and defined borders they create.

Any info will help a ton, thanks!

Dave Modz @Gunfu does amazing work as well. I think that price is typical for stippling at this level.

Check out https://www.macdefenseindustries.com/

Here's a P10C done with "brainmatter":

He did a phenomenal job on two of my Glocks. FDE is "brainmatter" which is friendlier for EDC. Black is "sprinkles" and is more aggressive for classes/competition/etc.

Question - In the pic with the DCA stippling is that the CZ Urban Grey or was it cerakoted by DCA? I am going to send my P10C in for their stipple job. the border work is amazing.

I have no idea to be honest. Kinda looks like white cerakote but pictures can lie.

Agree it look more on the white side. Pics of the urban grey are all over the place. A buddy purchased a Shadow up north and said it looks nothing like the pics even on the CZ site.

The white frame, black stipple and black slide with rmr is a wicked combo. I'm for sure having DCA do the stipple. Up in the air on the rmr and slide work. I like DCA slide work but Jagerworks is pretty good too. They do a chamfer cut that is pretty cool.

I agree that stipple is sweet. I just wasn't a fan of the really long wait to get it back after you send it in. But I guess that's the price to pay.

I would imagine with all the gun powder residue on that white frame after use, it would look even more cool.

Did you happen to contact them on the wait time or whats on the website? Agree 6-8 weeks is very long although Cajun took 10 weeks for my SP-01 work. I guess that's the norm with any of the popular services. I may reach out and see if they are currently running at.

Thanks for the info appreciate it.

I haven't checked with them recently. But at the time of writing this post, it was very long so I decided not to go with it.
