Does anyone know what is the recommended recoil spring replacement interval for the Shadow 2?
Thanks,

I finally broke down and called CZ USA. Got connected immediately and had a pleasant conversation with a guy in Warranty.

What they told me is interval is every 5,000 rounds.
Spring is standard CZ75 17lbs.
CZ Part number: 0420053001
five bucks will buy you one.

Awesome.  Thanks for checking.  Mine is at 750, so I have a way to go.

Yep. ~5K is pretty much standard practice for all pistols, CZ or not.

2K for 1911 9mm is what I have usually seen. But 5K for my Sigs.

Use it until it stops working properly. CZ can tell you the recommended interval, which is the same as a "best if used by" date which always means you can go a little longer. There will be differences in lifespan based on the manufacturer and material of the springs.

I?ve never replaced a recoil spring yet.

Robin Sebo told me he?s up to 80k on the spring in his gun.

I just got the 13 and 11 pounders from Cajun. with 147's coming in right at Pf 130
any idea which would be the better one in my S2?, or is this more of a  'gun by gun specific" type of thing?

I've always replaced my recoil springs at between 4000/5000 rounds or when ever they start tossing cases in to the next county.

17 pounds seems pretty heavy for a 9mm.  I run 11's in my .40 and 10 in my 9mm.

I believe you are correct. It is not 17#, but 15# per what I see for the part number quoted by CZ.

As the spring weakens,  the brass will be tossed farther and farther until there's not enough strength to feed the next round.
If you are shooting S.D. +P RDS,  this will happen sooner than if you're shooting minor power factor sub sonic competition loads.
Yes they can last a very long time.  The pistol and the type of ammo your shooting most often and the round count will drive the life span.
The changing brass toss distance woth a given load is an indicator.
