Decocker and Race Hammer
« on: August 14, 2018, 06:59:47 AM »
Question. If install the CGW race hammer in my SP-01 will there be any issues that need to be addressed regarding the sear? Seems like the safety models have changes to the functionality of the safety when the hammer is changed.

It has to be a de-cocker hammer. This wasn't mentioned in the OP, so I thought I would. Mine dropped right into my P-01, I don't recall there being any instructions regarding sear fitting in a de-cocker. It's been a while though.

The CGW decocker hammers dropped in perfectly in my PCR and 75BD,only a small amount of fitting to the sides was needed to fit one to my 97BD. Didn't need any sear work on any of the 3.

The decocker is essentially self adjusting at sear/hammer interface due to how the de-cocker functions, never had to change/adjust the sear in any way....conversely, anytime I put a hammer in any safety version I always get an adjustable sear since they very seldom (if ever) function correctly.
