My Shadow 2 slide is back from CZ custom Milled for CO

I actually bought my polymer guide rod from CZ Custom as i was buying a few other parts i needed for other guns and the guide rod was only like $3.50 so figured why not give it a shot. I had previously read other people were using them in their Shadow 2's to make weight. It's clearly listed as the SP01/Shadow guide rod in CZC's site and no mention of Shadow 2 compatibility. But at any rate, yeah i experienced the same thing you did. Oh well. I think I'm going to get lighter grips to make weight instead.

If you get a scale (they're honestly really cheap ) I'd be interested in how much your slide weighs with no barrel or recoil spring assembly. I had my slide cut by Primary machine with a front window but it's a different style/design of cut compared to what I've seen CGW and CZC doing so I'm curious how they compare in weight.

Gun looks really great! I would recommend getting a scale though as they are very cheap and it will provide assurance. The gun will have to lose about 5oz of weight to be good for CO. The killing of the slide looks great, hopefully it is enough for the weight reduction.

I had my S2 slide cut by CZC and have their RDS plate and a Burris fastfire III.

I have weighed it with both Hennings grips and CZ Thin Aluminum grips and it was 43oz with mecgar 10 rd mags and stock baseplates

I added both Hennings and Patriot basepads and it came in at 44oz

I've gone to a Venom on mine as well, I also blacked out my front sight as it was distracting me.
Do you have any pics of the slide off of the gun? I'm curious to see if they did any additional "Lightening" like CZC did to mine.
I just put my "stock" slide
back on my shadow yesterday and It's quite obvious how much lighter the  milled slide is.
