Hi all, just picked up a modded CZ75B SP-01 with CGW trigger work, and a milled slide Vortex Venom 3MOA install.
There's no rear sight aside from the two marks on the rear of the Vortex, and the current Dawson Precision Fiber-Optic front sight seems way too tall at .370 as it shoots way low (4.5" low on average with 5 shot groups, 115 gr FMJ's).
The CZ's sight radius is 7" even (rear of Vortex to rear of the front sight).
The rear sight marks on the are of the Vortex are about .300 high.
Using tape on the front sight, it hits at 10 yds from rest, and pretty much co-witnesses with the zeroed red dot with a .270 high front sight. The Dawson online computer says .285, though it assumes 20 yds distance and my eyes can't see 20 yds clearly with iron sights LOL (hence the 10 yd distance, and the red dot).
Dawson couldn't come up with a 10yd to 20 yd conversion via math, so I'm wondering whether I should just go with what hits at 10 yds as that's the data point I have?
Appreciate any thoughts on the matter?
Thanks!
