I have the calibration pack but it is too light for my 40.  I now have 3 wolff 16lb springs.

I run the 12lb spring in my sp01 9mm.

Cheers,
Toby

I received the cgw guide rod and it is slightly longer and definitely bigger in diameter which will prevent the recoil spring from being able to get forced through the guide rod hole in the slide.

The extra length makes the guide rod protrude into the slide when in battery.

Here are some pictures.
Comparison of the OEM vs CGW guide rods (cgw on bottom).

The guide rod into the slide when in battery.

The CGW guide rod has very little guide rod clearance through the slide.

Here is the OEM guide rod clearance through the slide.

Wow, that's just unreal.  I'm going to have to take a look at mine to see if it's the same way.

Oh, mine is a standard Tactical Sport.  Very short recoil spring guide (plastic) with a new one in the parts bag.  Still, no where near as much clearance as your picture shows.

I wonder why CZ would make such a big hole in the end of the slide for such a small diameter guide rod?
Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.  So, if you see me walking the dogs with my SIG 556R, its okay.

Anyone try the CGW guide rod in a 9mm?
Do you remove the plastic guide rod liner? That thing bothers me.
