.308 Bren 2?

I just saw this in a thread about the Bren 2 at the AK Files forum and it seems to be a .308 Winchester/7.62mm NATO version of the Bren 2.  Note, it's much modified from the 5.56mm/7.62x39mm versions, almost to the point of being a new rifle even if the basic concept is the same.  It also has the alternative (possibly cheek rest adjustable) version of the Bren 2's stock.

That would be nice, in .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor as well.

Hope CZ is smart enough to make them work with Magpul AR10 mags, which would make their .308 / 6.5 CM Bren 2s that much more attractive.

It sucks to have to use proprietary mags which are much more expensive and harder to find than something that's already in mass production and circulation (and relatively cheap).

I wonder how much heavier it is and longer than the standard BREN2? I love the idea, a real BREN battle rifle. I agree, using existing mags would be a plus. Just please not FN mags....

I sold my Sig716, but if the rifle at the top of this page ever comes on the market I will line up with cash in hand to buy one.  Until then I will be happy to keep on enjoying my 805.

Given I live in MD where you can own but not buy or sell magazines over 10 rounds in capacity, I too hope it takes the 20 round AR10 style mags I have in storage.  Those mags are a little bulky for paperweights and I need something to do w them besides take up space.

Military Arms Channel, Polenar Tactical, and AnR Design have been posting pictures and video of the Bren 2 on Instagram.  They took a trip to the factory with CZ-USA to the factory for a press event or something.  They did some night shooting, i saw a bit of the all 3 versions, and some shooting of the P-10c OR.

For some reason I am not that into the BREN 308 or excited...probably because I have a LMT MWS 13.5"  and Sig 716

But I feel like militaries around the world are coming back to the .30cal in semi-auto.

That intrigues me even more. Wonder what the weight difference will be? Would be an excellent all around rifle out here in the desert.

For me is the perfect solution for my dilemma. I just got my 805 not too long ago. But chambered in 308 that is something got my attention.
