I've had my Scorpion for 1.5 years now and bought it brand new and its a GEN 2  . I got the 2 halves separated and noticed on the right receiver plate that there is this square tab that sticks out and is peend up pretty bad. It been making contact with the bolt but what exactly is it?

It's a denial feature to prevent a full auto bolt from being installed.

Pretty sure semi and full auto bolts are same, but I think it was required for some European country. Sucks since the bolt has a corresponding cut out of it.

No need to call Cz.  It's on their web site.  It is part of the "world-legal" modifications Cz needed to make in order to sell them in certain countries. The receiver block prevents the use of a select fire bolt being used in it.

Thanks for the info!  I've had mine apart and I guess I just didn't pay any attention to it until Banshee71 mentioned it.

I'd respond to his last post but I'm afraid he might pop a blood vessel.

Next time I have mine taken all the way down, I'm going to look for the tab, but I don't recall seeing it before.  Least not in my early receiver.

I wouldn't be certain that tab is present in all scorpions.

Nor are they really needed or required in the USA anyway.

No need to take down, it is visible external about 1/2" below the right rail, and maybe 2" from the rear as a small oval.

The first guns into the country thtat had the funky uncommon muzzlethread did not have it.
