Timney for a 452?
« on: April 01, 2018, 04:43:09 PM »
Anyone got any experience and feedback on a Timney replacement for a 452?  I am looking to get around 2-2.5lb trigger pull with no creep.  Is that to much to expect?  Are their other or better alternatives?  Thanks all!

You can do that with a Timney, but if you take out all the creep some users have reported the bolt will come out when cocking the rifle.

Have you considered trying a lighter spring first, or a YoDave kit?

There's a thread on this very page where a user just did a spring swap, and is happy. I've done the same.
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

I achieved exactly that result with a Yo-Dave kit. Zero creep and around 1.25kg trigger pull. Most who have tried it comment that it feels much lighter with no creep. Have had no problems to date with the bolt issue but others clearly have had a different experience. A lot cheaper than a Timney trigger.
