Thanks, just finished hand polishing the newest one.  Fingers are sore, but I'm happy with the results. I probably have over 20hrs in for both of these, but those hours spent were very relaxing. I haven't fired the newest one yet, so off to the range next week.

Very nice, they look perfect.  8) I too find polishing and stripping/cleaning to be relaxing. Gives me a reason to get them out and enjoy them

Looks nice.
I don't have the patience and I think my hands would cramp up too much to polish by hand.

I use both Mothers and Flitz.

When done, hit it with Renaissance Wax. I wasn't a believer until I used it.
It cleans up the gun really well after polishing.

Ok, I think I'm done with the hand polishing.  It's been fun over the past week or so.

Very nice looking.  What brand and type of grips are those?

I just finished polishing the slide on a recent stainless acquisition.  I used 800, 1500 and 2000 grit and a felt polishing wheel with additional hand polishing.  I never remember to do a before and after, but you can see a pretty good reflection.  I'll do the frame next week.

Here's a better pic showing the difference between additional slide polishing and the stock factory frame polishing.  The slide and frame had the same factory finish. I'll sand and polish the frame next week.
