CZ 97 Magazines

Does anyone have any preferences between CZ OEM magazines and MecGar magazines for the CZ 97 pistols?

If so, can you elaborate on the reasons for your preferences? 

I value reliability and durability above initial cost, if that helps.

I've used them both interchangeably for over a year in competition without any failures.  I would purchase the mecgars as they are cheaper.

They have a different base pad but you can get them with the oem pad from greg Cote llc if you want but I didn't.

The Mecgar aftermarket magazines will leave a gap in between the bottem of the grip frame and the magazine base plate. As  tdogg said above both will work fine. If you get Mecgars and then buy the CZ97 base plates to swap them on you save a bit over the CZ97 Factory mags price. Aside from the markings the magazine tube/bodys are the same as far as i can tell. The base plates are different in that the base plates for the Mecgars are designed so that they can be installed and lock into both the CZ 97 and the Witness/Tanfoglio.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.  Other than cost and base plate differences (which can be changed with the addition of Greg Cote base pads), feedback received thus far seems to indicate both of these magazines work fine with no issues.  Anyone else with conflicting experience?
