First of all congrats to the lucky ones that got their Bren 2's already. I have to admit I'm a little jealous. a couple questions,
I noticed you mentioned using an ACR stock. Is the current adapters we are using for our Brens now compatible with the Bren 2 receivers?
I was thinking about doing the same thing, getting a 14" pistol and welding on a brake that is long enough to make it 16". Are these pistols shipping with barrels thread 1/2x28? I know the original Brens had the  European left handed thread pitch so hopefully CZ is bringing them in with 1/2x28 on the Bren 2's.
I was able to check out a .556 and a 762x39 at my local gun store and man they are sweet. Next day both were already sold. I didn't expect to see Bren 2s in the states yet. Next time I will be ready 😀

I don't Believe the Bren 805 stocks are compatible with the Bren 2. IIRC, someone here on the forum stated that Mississippi Auto Arms indicated they'd be interested in making an adapter for the Bren 2, if there's enough interest.

The barrels on these early models are advertised as being 1/2"x28. I'll confirm when mine arrives if someone else doesn't respond first. The OP has a link on page one of the thread to imgur with pictures of a 14" Bren 2 with a Dead Air muzzle break attached.

Does anyone know if the 805 barrel kits available from the cz USA site will work with the Bren 2? I purchased a 14" because I didn't want to wait for the 11" release because I had to have this Bren 2. But ideally I'd like to have the 11" with pinned and welded suppressor to get over the 16" mark.

Sorry for the delayed response.   The barrel of my BREN 2 is threaded 1/2x28.  I confirmed this by installing a Dead Air 1/2x28 muzzle brake.  According to CZ-USA, the stock for the 805 will not fit the BREN 2 as the back of the receiver is different.   I reached out to Mississippi Auto Arms before realizing the issue with 922(r) and have not pursued the adapter for the ACR stock as of yet.  I will call them again and see if this is still something they want to do.

Mine is DELAYED. UPS was a day late picking it up, Sporting goods store received it today but has to process it in from their warehouse, THEN do the FFL paperwork. :\

Delayed until Monday. Boo.

I don't think I've wanted a material thing this badly since the SLR-106 came out a decade ago.  ;D

Wags;
I guess it's safe to assume that pinning the factory flash hider won't make it to 16"?

The Bren 2 is on my short list, but if I can't pin and weld the factory flash hider, I'll probably try to pick up an 11" 7.62x39 and SBR it when the parts become available.

Thanks

EFR,

The 14" barrel with factory flash hider measures out to 15 7/8" .  You could get it to length with the use of a crush washer (not used by the factory).  I have purchased a can and was going to replace the flash hider with a tri-lug brake anyway.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

Just got back from the range and I am blown away with the handling of this thing.  The BREN 2 controls are wonderful, trigger is very nice, recoil impulse feels very soft.  Wife really enjoyed shooting it as well.  She was doing transition drills with the BREN 2 and had a blast.  She admitted she liked it more than her AR. We didn't get a chance to do any longer range shooting, but had a great time from 50 yards and in. put 200 rounds with no problems.  I tried to shoot video with my phone but quality was terrible.  I will be getting a better video recorder in the next few weeks and plan on doing a video.

Too bad you're not local to Casa Grande - I'd run camera for ya. ;) Got a little experience there.

Thanks, for the offer anyway Armoredman.  That would have been great.  Just a little bit of a drive from NW Florida, although my aunt lives in Phoenix and probably wouldn't mind a visit.  Looking at the new GoPro Hero 7 being released at the end of the month.
