Looking for a new grip
« on: September 19, 2018, 01:10:16 PM »
Can?t decide between the HBI pathfinder grip or the yeti works switchback.

My hands are on the smaller side. The factory grip is so so. I?m used to a more vertical angle. My scorpion is in pistol format with a brace.

Pros and cons of either? Pathfinder is def cheaper.

I have a switch back that I like, my hands are somewhat small too. It?s narrow enough that I can wrap my thumb around it comfortably, you can adjust the position forward and backward so hand size really isn?t a factor. It?s definitely an improvement over the factory grip. I don?t have any experience with the pathfinder though.

I'm running a Yeti Switchback also with the flat insert and I have relatively large hands.  Happy with it so far.

Pathfinder sucks. The bolt to mount it is only about 1/16th thick "not actually but u get the idea" the webbing on it is way off aswell and puts your gand in a weird angle making controls hard to actuate.
Hated it sold it

the apex is too scrawny,  hated it sold it

The factory grip or the yeti switchback are the only 2 viable worthwhile options. I tried and liked the yeti just havent liked it enough to pay $55 shipped for the 3 year old still 3d printed looking "molded now but same cheap design and thin shape as the original generation" yeti.

Theres a few Ar-15 grip adapters around from $50-75 but by the time you get that plus an ar grip like the magpul miad your $100 into a plastic grip... on other platforms such as ar15 or ak a $75+ grip would get you skeletonized 7075 aluminum , g10 or titanium

I have the Switchback 2.5 and am very happy with it. i use the flat insert.

Medium size hands, size 8 ring finger.

My index finger no longer hits the safety when firing. Shot several 8 stage 250 round USPSA PCC matches with this setup and no blisters or skin breakage. I would be a bloody mess with the factory grip.
