Holosun 507C review
« on: September 25, 2018, 09:24:57 PM »

Biggest takeaway for me, besides the fact that this optic actually made it through Aaron's hearty review process, was that it has the same footprint as an RMR. I also am intrigued by the reticle.

I watched this earlier today. Interesting stuff.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Just saw this on another forum where they treat stuff harshly and then laugh when it fails to compete with the RMR.

The statement was that it is not and RMR, but it is better than the Fastfire, Vortex, C-More, J Point, or Romeo red dot sights.

They are still testing it, so no video/final report yet.  Just the initial statement in the previous sentence.

I just went to Optics Planet and checked them out and they seem to run about $300.  Less than a DP Pro or an RMR.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

it's a nice red dot, but many people will not buy it because it's made in China, asia, etc.  the only thing that I don't like about the 507C is that big ass advertising logo on the housing.  other than that, it's a pretty solid red dot.  Sadly, extremely hard to find!

I run RMRs on my duty pistols. I ordered one a 507c on black Friday cause it's a very interesting optic and affordable. Wouldn't mind testing it out And maybe put it on my concealed carry gun which would be a p07 I just picked up.

You?re not kidding about that big ass advertising logo. I feel like I should be paid having it on my gun.

Don?t shoot me for having it mounted on a non-CZ. It?s a testing platform.

I started with one on my Glock 35 and loved it so much I sold one of my Trijicon RMR's to help fund a couple more 507c's.  I have astigmatism and the dot/reticles are crisp and clear compared to my Trijicon's, Venom and Viper.  It's packed with features and battery life is incredible.

Just installed the one on my Glock 26 yesterday and hoping to shoot it this weekend.

Planning to get a few more for my PCC's, AR's and AK's.

I received a Holosun 507C today and installed it and the CZC PT-4 plate on my P-10F OR this evening.  Might get to try it on Wednesday.  40 mph winds expected.  Perfect conditions for sighting in a precision bullseye match pistol...   :) :)

(I just need to get it close.)

I was on board with this dot until I saw the weight. 2.6oz is a bit chunky compared to even a DPP. I wonder how a 34 would cycle with that.

My Holosun 507C cycled with the P-10F just fine today, but I didn't shoot many rounds.  Just handling it, it didn't seem noticeably heavier than a Burris FF 3, but I didn't really compare the weights using a scale.

I kind of like the Holosun, surprise, surprise.  I'll confirm after a few thousand rounds and a match or two.
