I'd prefer the COMPACT roll mark in ss over the P01 mark to go with my 99021. Even better, brushed/bead blasted ss like the Limited 75B was...

Would make more sense being it isn't alloy and has a safety.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

I just don't see a manufacturer the size of CZ setting up to make a run of 150.

Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Actually they could pretty easily..If you think about it, these pistols are basically P01's with a slightly different frame, since they use investment casting method to make the frames, which uses a wax mold, they can easily produce as many or few as needed. It's just a simple matter of whether they're melting down stainless, or carbon steel.. The slides if I'm not mistaken, are made from barstock, they already have CNCmachines all tooled up to make P01 slides, all they need to do is put a peice of stainless barstock in, instead of a peice of carbon steel, ditto for the barrels, likely the same as stainless 75 barrels, just shorter.. So, basically they're already set up to make these, and can easily make more if they want to, which is why I doubt the limited production numbers CZ is quoting. I suspect we'll see more of these as time goes on..
I didn't mean they couldn't, I meant I don't see them doing such a small run. The CZ rep said "imported 150", not made. I think some more will miraculously show up. Maybe they create this hype to reward loyal distributors with an opportunity to make a very nice mark up.

There's no dpubt in my mind more will show up, if anything, I figure these were made to see how well/fast they'd sell. I'm guessing that some folks from CZ may read this board, as alot of folks have been pineing for a stainless compact, and just like majic, look what shows up.. if they are, I'd like to make a couple of suggestions..

1. Can the polycoat..go to black nitride, We know you have the capabilty..we've seen it on the P07, P09, P10c
2. Make the same frame that you're using for this stainless compact, and on the 99021,99041 available in a alloy frame, for the P01, PCR, and  for God's sake, get rid of that downswept beavertail !!! And while you're at it stainless slides barrels, etc, for the PCR, P01
3.Stainless mags for all the above..

Yeah, but made in 2017, they intentionally sat while we were still clamoring back then???

Ahhh, I know, they had to wait to rid themselves of the all-carbon steel safety compact rail thingies first -- after all, who the heck would want one of those!

I guess, once the price was established for those, add the SS surcharge to MSRP and ramp up production!  Why not make a splash at shot show about the full run of SS, extended beavertail compacts, SS Rami, and (why not) their newly designed SS single stack (9mm) for the pocket!  2 finger grip, ~19oz please!

Wait -- Pinch me.

I want that single stack 9mm too!! For now, I just ordered one of these 91197 from a shop in Indiana that received only 1 copy, and will have it next week

Some of the listings are amusing.  They copy and pasted the description of the P-01.  Complete w/ the decocker references.  You?d think someone selling a gun would take the time to list the right information.  But that would be asking to much.

Yeah I caught that too dragon!  But then again these are selling quickly based on Buy-It-Now and ballpark $750 pricing.  Some folks are already paying the luxury tax to play first!

All hail the Stainless P-01 safety model / Stainless SP-01 compact!

I have not seen a thread like this since the original SP-01 compact thread. Note that the aforementioned thread has the second highest reply count out of any thread on the entire forum. The CZ addiction at work.  ;D

Forum stats.

Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

They have 5 left out of the shipment of 6.
Put money down on it on September 20th.
What is a decent photo hosting page?
Photobucket is terrible now.

Looks like the barrels are not polished on these stainless P-01's. The barrels on the polished 75b models have a nice bright finish.

Seems like maybe they produced some stainless during/after the run of 99041 last year. This stainless has all the same CIP proof marks too. Maybe the barrel isn?t stainless on these for whatever reason? I won?t have mine until later this week/early next week to judge. They are running more 99041 this year, which are hitting the shelves now. So MAYBE they will run more in stainless down the line this year. I just couldn?t take that chance, what with having some cash set aside for occasions such as this

I don't think its that easy.  The casting process isn't perfect and having the privilege to tour their factory and seeing their reject bin, without the benefit of polycoat to cover up some of the imperfections only the best frames are chosen for the non-coated models.  My understanding is that is why the nitride Shadow 2 was a such a limited run.

Now that?s a good point. So even if they do plan on making more in stainless this year, it will probably be a very limited amount, in direct proportion to the limited amount of steel framed P01 that are being produced this year. It?s starting to make more sense that only 150 might have actually made it here. That would make it a limited edition stainless version of a limited steel framed variant of a P-01. Sounds pretty exclusive

Sending mine off to IV8888 Range Day this weekend.
I will be out of town when it arrives at my FFL.
They are going to the event.
94 Vendors.
It will be riding along with a Silencer Co Maxim 9 that has a drop in Auto Sear.
An 07 FFL here in Atlanta built the DAS.
I expect the P-01 to be broken in when I pick it up next week.
Ray will take good care of it.

Luckily I live in Kommiefornia where 3/4 of CZ pistols are not available for sale and dealers don't stock them.  If they had a full selection, I'd be able to fondle them and fork over the cash.
