Yeah, and chances are these were a very limited run.  I have a blued 97 and 75, bought them in 2014 though they were made in '13.  They didn't last long and haven't been available since.

So it looks like these were initially going for around $725 and now they are around $825-875. Does that sound right? Any leads for a tightwad?

I gave 759 for mine, believe they have one left of the three they were allocated. Let me know via PM if you?d like more info

Although it might be limited, I'd be skeptical on that 150 number. They also told us there were only a few 99041s, and members here tried counting to see how many were sold and we ended up counting more than the amount CZ said were imported.

I agree. I don't believe the 150 made thing. CZ is a company trying to make money.  What makes more sense is a company making up a story so people want to buy their guns immediately versus a company make a small number of a product that people want more of.

Well I was able to get mine Friday on the way to a weekend getaway, wife said no to bringing it on vacation because she wanted some attention from me.
Took my Canik L-120 along instead. Went by the Bud's Retail store in TN. They had a decent selection of full sized CZ but no high end guns like Shadows or TSO.
The guys had gone to the IV8888 shoot before the USPS arrived so no videos.
Turns out they had some CGW parts in stock when I went back Monday to get it.
Decided to let the guy there do the polish job and install a RRK and spring kit.
He is going to touch up the places that CZ didn't fully polish on the exterior like the spring plug and safety selectors.
Not bad for $60 plus cost of parts.
He does a good 1911 trigger job too so he is good at cleaning up sear surfaces and setting proper angles.
I'll post pics in a couple of weeks.
Signing it into the books at gunsmith.

I'm skeptical as well, on the 99021's 99041's both were supposed to  be limited runs, and yet, as folks started counting, the numbers kept going up past what CZ said were made.. As I said in another post, CZ would be better off to cut the BS stories, and just be up front. Tell people that you're going to make a batch of 99021's or 99041's or these stainless pistols, exactly how many will be in the batch, and about when they'll show up.. And folks will be waiting to buy them. They could produce a limited run of each throughout the year, and keep interest up, and sell every single one, quickly..

When interest falls off, as it will eventually, then, quit making them for awhile.. No need to resort to B.S. "contract over run", or " buyer did'nt accept delivery" stories..

... but why sit on them for so long?  mfg date is 2017.  Were those other compacts mentioned new OLD inventory mfg a year before their release?

Agreed, my blued CZs were 2013 production, and the stainless P-01s are '17 apparently.  Who knows how or why they were built this way, might have to make a long distance call to find.  CZ-USA doesn't always know what is coming in, when I asked if the blued were a new item, they just said well they showed up and we're not sure.

It?s real boys.

Beautiful pistol!

I haven't read the entire thread, but how can a safety-equipped steel-framed compact be considered a P-01?  I acknowledge that CZ is not always consistent with their nomenclature.

The receiver.(frame in this case) is the gun --at least in the US.  The slide is just one of the many machine parts that need not be serialized (at least in the US).
