Damascus Gun Shop

Seems as though they are out of business, anybody know what the deal is? They always had decent prices and fast shipping. Good people IMHO,

They got me a first run P-01 Omega, can't thank them enough. I hope it isn't true.

I don't recall what I purchased from them but I know I did. I went to their web site not long ago and they had a page stating that they are out of business and thanked past customers for past business.

I am sorry to see them go too.

I noticed not long ago they had closed.  It's a shame as I had a good experience with them.  I purchased my first CZ pistol, a P-09, through DGS.  They had inventory that others didn't, were fast, had good communication and good pricing at the time.

Bought an OD Green P-01 from them Dec '14...only place that had a few (which sold super fast) and they didn't gouge on price. Good place to deal with...sorry to learn they went out of business.

This has been a very rough year for gun merchants. Last year they probably had 15 employees, all working overtime to meet the demand. This year they were probably down to husband and wife.

There's a local mom n' pop gun store near me that invested heavily in AR's. Last year they were selling 8 a day, this year one a month. Luckily for them, being out in the country, they sell a lot of deer hunting equipment like scopes, clothing, ammo, and stands.

I also like Damascus GS. That's a shame.

Really is a shame.  I purchased a PCR from them years ago. They were a great merchant and I would refer folks to their website.  Too bad. :(

I use to buy from Mike at Damascus and always visit the shop when we would go up to ride the Virginia Creeper Trail.  I bought my P-09 there and had them ship to my FFL.  Finest, only CZ firearm store I ever seen.  I wish I knew what happened, apparently closed in summer of 2018.  I wish them well in whatever endeavors they go after.  Super nice folks.  I was just going to have them order me a new toy.  Always the best prices.  God bless them.

Sounds like a good company, never bought from them, ...alaways buy from LGS to support local business. Good cz selection and lower prices than online by the time you pay transfer fees and shipping.

I buy from LGS if they can support my needs, if not I deal with people I trust and gives me best price and best service. They never charged me any transfer fees over the years and my FFL is my gunsmith and charges me $20 for the paperwork.  I have found another killer store down the mountain about 50 minutes that is a solid CZ store. I live in the Western Carolina Mtns. I sent Michael an email and thus far it has not come back.  Fingers crossed.
